ABOUT ME

Production

In 2010, I founded a green and sustainable production company. As an Executive Producer I have worked across film, television, branded content, music and live events for Disney+, Hulu, Marvel, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Interscope, FOX and Discovery+, on projects featuring Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz. I was Grammy-nominated for Radiohead's House of Cards, Executive Producer of two Grammy-nominated Billie Eilish videos including What Was I Made For from the Barbie soundtrack, and a VMA Video for Good winner.

Running a production means holding a budget, a crew, a schedule and a creative vision at once, under a deadline that does not move. That is the training. Everything since has drawn on it.

Eaton Fire Residents United

The Eaton Fire took most of Altadena in January 2025. My house is one of the ones still standing. From the street it looks fine, but it is contaminated and I have not been able to move back in.

I co-founded Eaton Fire Residents United in the weeks that followed and have run its operations since. EFRU built the evidence base that made the case for state regulation, and ran the campaign behind the legislation. In its first year it raised $785,000, built a 13-member advisory board, and reached thousands of California residents. It works with 8 academic institutions and, through the Long Term Recovery Group, sits alongside 200 member organizations.

EFRU is resident-led and data-driven. Residents hire licensed independent industrial hygienists at their own expense. EFRU collects those reports, verifies them, maps them, and turns them into something home owners, regulators and legislators can act on. Of the reports collected after homes had already been remediated, 96 percent showed lead and 36 percent showed asbestos.

I have spent 25 years making complicated things happen on deadline. For most of that it meant film and television. Since January 2025 it has meant wildfire recovery, and what surprised me was how little the work itself changed.

I advise plaintiff legal teams working wildfire cases, and mission-driven organizations building the operating structure to keep the work going.

Policy

EFRU is the sole sponsor of AB 1642. We drafted it alongside Legislative Counsel and the author's office. I prepared the testimony, the floor alerts, the position letters for every committee and floor vote, and met with Assembly members and their staff. When AB 1642 had to be harmonized with AB 1795, we worked directly with both authors' offices and the Department of Insurance. I ran the analysis on each round of amendments and sat in the working group that approved the language. Together AB 1642 and AB 1795 create the first smoke damage standards in the country. Both were signed into law in September 2026 and take effect January 1, 2027.

I serve on the Eaton Fire Collaborative's Long Term Recovery Group Advocacy and Health and Safety committees, and on the NSF FIRE advisory board through Tufts University. I have presented EFRU's post-remediation contamination findings at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and to the Department of Insurance's Smoke Claims and Remediation Task Force.

Board & Community

As board chair of Planned Parenthood Advocates Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley, I have seen how a nonprofit works from the governance side. I served 6 years on that board, 3 of them as Chair. Planned Parenthood Advocates is a 501(c)(4), so the work included the line between education and lobbying, which is where a lot of advocacy organizations get themselves into trouble. As Co-Organizer and Director of Operations for TEDxPasadena, and as an organizer of fundraising events for Club 21 and Union Station Homeless Services, I have worked the operating side at organizations of very different sizes.
